The intaglio component is a hard ground ferric chloride etching, made and pulled onto Arches Cover using an American French Tool press from a steel-faced copper plate. The buttons were punched and pressed using no adhesives. The lid insert was printed using an Epson 9600 pigmented piezo printer onto cover stock. The artist signed and numbered each button on the back side using an engraving tool. The book binding was done by John DeMerritt in Emeryville, California. Each book box is unique, using different colored leather and book cloth salvaged from past projects. The natural edge of the leather hide was used to create a non-traditional binding.
